Concerns that Israel will attack Iran in an attempt to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons have been escalating -- particularly since it was reported that the U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said he believes there is a "strong likelihood" that Tel Aviv will launch an offensive sometime this spring.
As tensions continue to rise, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said during Friday prayers that Iran will help any nation or group that confronts the "cancer" Israel. He also said during his remarks that were broadcast on state TV that Iran country would continue its controversial nuclear program, and warned that any military strike by the U.S. would only make Iran stronger.
Ali Arouzi, NBC News Tehran Correspondent, responded to reader questions about the tension between the two nations earlier today. Click below to replay the chat.

Don't forget Panetta and Obama are in it up to their eyes and the Congress and the "Internationale" have gotten America and Europe into deep s*hit.
IMO Israel will not strike and the reason is that if they were planning it, we would never hear about it, it would just happen like it did against Iraq's and Syria's nukes. I think this strategy to make the world believe Israel will attack is a way to motivate the liberal, revolutionary groups within Iran to start their own Arab Spring.

Just so that you can get more of the story, here's a bit from the Ayatollah's speech:
"In light of the realization of the divine promise by almighty God, the Zionists and the Great Satan (America) will soon be defeated,” Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader, is warning.
Khamenei, speaking to hundreds of youths from more than 70 countries attending a world conference on the Arab Spring just days ago, told a cheering crowd in Tehran that “Allah’s promises will be delivered and Islam will be victorious.”
Did you happen to catch that little part about the US being the goal and Israel(the Zionists) are just a problem?? That means that Iran wants to, and is likely to, attack the US. How? Most of the analysis points towards using a nuclear weapon as an EMP(look it up) that would take out this country's infrustructure and send us instantly back a few hundred years. It only would take one small attack to make it happen. Please consider reading up on it and trying to prepare yourself.
What he said was just in respond to the threat of Israel yesterday. Israel and US keep threatening Iran and of course Iran will respond. And they don't even have Nuclear weapon. That is a fact. Even Israel and US are talking about a potential nuclear weapon which they might build in the future. And with all these threats who would blame them? It is really like they are trying to force them to build the weapons.

The question that should have been asked is why isreal wants war with Iran when Teran has one of only 4 jewish charity hospitals in the world. Also he should have asked why despite isreal offering $10k for any jew to leave Iran why jews are staying. The answer to that is the jews in Iran are shepardic (not european looking) jews and they would be discrimated against in Isreal.Google (shepardic treatment israel jew black) and see how lesser jews get treated there.

Gloria, i agree with some of what you are saying. Currently Iran DOES NOT have a nuclear weapon, Isreal should attack them before they obtain nuclear weapons.

Israel, if the did attack, which I am not convinced of, would not attack with nukes. Thy would attack Iran's nukes. Israel is too surgical in their military actions. And they also know that Iran contains a lot of pro Western civilians, and a lot of Jews. It would be an attack only on nukes with more conventional weapons. But as I said above, they have other covert strategies.
Why would Panetta announce that Israel is going to attack Iran? Why would Israel adopt a "Yup, we might just do that" attitude? We are being manipulated here...but for what purpose? That isn't how war works. That isn't how diplomacy works. Is this our response to all the saber rattling that Iran has done in the past months? They are beginning to sound like Jeff Dunham's Arab dummy..."Shut up!! I keel you!!" There is so much more to this than we know, but we are being used as puppets....I just am not sure why. Any ideas?

The question remains unclear! if Iran complete it s nuk weapons, will it strike Israel? or Israel is just making excuses that Iran will use their Nuk weapon against them so they can convince the world to stop Iran from completing their mission, or maybe Israel is making an excuse again to strike Iran just like other excuses they always make to kill innocent people.

The notion of national defense through pre-emption, in this Israeli/U.S.-Iranian conflict over Iran's exercise of its right to develop nuclear weaponry (which, after the Iraq war and now, is being confirmed to many Iranian leadership to be the right move to protect Iran's national security), is the most misguided and dangerous concept known to humankind. I cannot believe that this is happening again. How many human beings died in the wars started by the Bush Administration against Iraq and Afghanistan. How can the U.S. and Israel decide that it can bomb other nations with impunity? Just look at the news in the last year. We are constantly being bombarded with stories that Iran is developing WMDs (which is to the contrary, when you look at the IAEA's report saying that no uranium has been diverted), Iran is supporting Al-qaeda (which they aren't, there ideologies are completely opposed to each other), Iran threatens Israel's existence (they very well might, but then again, any comparable military force that could force Israel to think about the consequences of its brutality would threaten the existence of a nation that is sustained by brutality), Iran will attack the U.S. (seriously? Iran's military couldn't even compare to a single branch of our military. The only thing keeping this war from not starting is the U.S.'s unwillingness to get caught up in another mess). Iran will eat their babies (I don't think I need to explain this one). Furthermore, Israel has been saying that Iran is a year from getting a nuke for decades. Watch, next month they will say Iran is a week away from getting a nuke.
We have enough problems at home. The only war I can support is a war on unemployment and crime.

Tehran has declared that they will wipe Israel off the map. Sounds like threat to me. I promise you, if Israel decides to take out the nuclear facilities, they will also take out Iran's capability to strike back. Air defense sites, missile batteries, airbases and their Air Force...all gone in about an hour. And if Iran successfuly launches a missile at Tel Aviv or Jaifa or Jerusalem, Tehran will become an uninhabitable, smoking ruin of fused glass.

The American military is paid for by Americans. The American military's purpose is to protect Americans. The American military is staffed by American men and women.
If Israel wants a war with Iran, Americans should let them know that they will fight it alone. It seems that the calls for war are coming from them,while our government sounds like it is trying to avoid a war. Israel should not be allowed to drag us into a war. Our leaders shouldn't allow this, it isn't in our interests. We just wrapped up a war that started out the same way. It is against Nuremburg tribunal laws to plot and to attack another nation that is at peace with the rest of the world. That action is called "aggressive war" and it calls for hanging of those leaders who are guilty of waging such a war. Why has the US and the rest of the world stood by and listened to these expressions of hatred by Israel towards Iran? It is another expression of "hate law" that one can be punished for what he is presumably thinking while he is committing a crime. Or in the case of Iran, who can be attacked simply on the theory that she could possibly do injury to Israel someday. The war mongers and Israeli-firsters are prone to acting first and possibly asking questions later at a higher rate than most other people simply because they cannot trust any peaceful approach to resolving any problems. The supposed enemy must be humiliated and scorned before the world and demonized so much that any action taken by Israel would be justified and approved. In short these zionists in Israel do not want peace but war, Iran poses no military threat to Israel but should Iran achieve any kind of parity with Israel such as military strength, it is a given that many if not most of the Israelis will flee the country for other shores. Now do we really want all of these aliens coming to America with their foreign ideas .... absolutely not!
But in the sense of fairness, should we reward criminals with solutions for their problems at the cost to our own citizens of their rights, liberty, and property. Again who has the best interest of Americans in their plans, and I venture that the zionist Jews are not in that catagory. America has no business aiding Israel to terrorize the Middle East ... an ancient land that has stood the tests of time and not found wanting. Just who are these interlopers who now propose to abscond with other people's lands? Maybe if our historical writers and scholars were offered succor instead of termination of tenure for revealing the truth we might get some answers instead of all the clap-trap that passes for nightly news.
It was Iran who declared over and over again that they will wipe Israel off the map, not the other way around. Israel is a country surrounded by religious fanatics who refuse to recognize her right to exist, as the rest of the world does. Israel will not declare war on Iran; they will however prevent them from building a nuclear weapon. It's that simple.

Americas beef with Iran is easy to figure even if no one cars to research the relationship between the Shaw and the CIA , the UN documented thousands of political opponents that died as a result of that relationship, just another monarch we supported that had a history of civil right abuse and that we refused to turn over to the world court, and I'd like to be informed of the last time an Iranian ship shot down one of our civilian airliners over our air space .
